I am 23 years old, studying pharmacy and I have loved walking and spending time with dogs ever since I was a child. I also like cats. I study in Bonn but between the semesters and sometimes in between aswell, I'm home in Luxembourg and I would be happy to take care of your pet by walking them or looking after them. I really enjoy spending time with animals, which is why I find this to be an ideal flexible job alongside my studies. In Bonn, I have already walked some dogs regularly, allowing me to gain further experience.

My experience with animals:

Before my parents had a dog of their own, I was already going on weekly walks with my grandfather and our neighbors’ dogs at the age of six. These included a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Labrador. We often spent time walking in the forest and across fields.

When I was nine years old, we got our own Shetland Sheepdog (male). Over many years, I learned what it means to have a dog and how great the responsibility is. Whether with our own dog or others, I consider it essential to be attentive during walks. Our first dog lived to be 13 years old, and we were active together in agility (dog sports). My parents now have another male Sheltie. He was four months old when we got him, and with him I was also able to learn what it takes to raise a puppy properly. This includes things like house training and walking on a leash. We attended puppy and dog training classes, and he is now also learning agility. Over the years, I learned many rules and techniques in dog school about how to handle dogs correctly.

At the age of 16, I completed an internship at an animal shelter in Ennetmoos, Switzerland, as part of a school project. There, I got to know many dogs and also gained some experience with cats. My main tasks included cleaning dog and cat enclosures. Apart from cleaning and feeding, I have less experience with cats, as we never had one ourselves.

Additionally, I have experience with birds. My parents have had budgies for many years, so I have been familiar with cleaning cages and feeding them since childhood.
